I have spent most of my 28-year career working as an simultaneous and consecutive Spanish interpreter and translator in McAllen, TX and in California. In Texas I was a Court Certified Interpreter. I am a court certified interpreter and am currently a Spanish language staff interpreter in Santa Barbara, CA California. I have a BA in Hispanic Literature from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Certificate in Translation Studies from the University of Chicago. I have also completed my first year of my Masters Degree from the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Spanish language translation and interpretation. During college, I also spent six months participating in a study abroad program at the University of Seville in Seville, Spain. I am very fluent in Spanish and English; my father was a diplomat and I spent the first 13 years of my life living throughout Latin America. Not only do I have an excellent command of the Spanish language, but I am familiar with the many accents and colloquialisms used across Latin America. I also speak German.

I have 28 years of experience covering depositions and trials and translating documents for both civil and criminal cases of various kinds, including capital murder, medical practice, oil industry, dredging industry, agriculture, toxic mold, immigration, labor disputes, real estate, and automobile accidents. I also do contract transcriptions and translations for the IRS.
