I'm a professional freelance translator with a 12-year experience in technical and medical/pharmaceutical translations from English and German into Spanish (Spain). I have a University Degree in Translation and Interpreting (English, German) (Universidad Pontificia Comillas, ICAI-ICADE, Madrid, Spain).



In medicine, I have obtained a Postgraduate Degree in Medical Translation from English into Spanish (Universidad Jaume I, Castellón, Spain). I'm specialized in presentations, product monographs, preclinical and clinical studies, marketing authorisations, after marketing studies, expert reports on the pharmacological, clinical and toxicological documentation, summaries of product characteristics, informed consents and other patient related documents, like patient information sheets, manuals, medical devices, IVUS devices, analysis devices, diagnostic devices; instruments, devices and accessories for OP rooms, laboratory, surgery, dentistry, vascular surgery, etc, but also special subjects like homeopathy, acupuncture or homeosiniatry. I have translated medical texts that sum up more than 2,300,000 words, mainly from English, but also from German into Spanish. For example, I have translated radiotherapy devices (around 65,000 words), radiology devices (around 100,000 words), homeopathy and homeosiniatry (around 75,000 words), prosthetics and implants (around 75,000 words), stents and related accessories (around 125,000), targeted therapies in cancer (around 100,000), texts on diseases (around 45,000), clinical studies (around 200,000), informed consents and the like (around 75,000), marketing authorisations, SPCs, monographs and the like (around 350,000), marketing texts (around 150,000), dentistry (around 80,000), IVUS devices (around 150,000 ), in vitro diagnostic devices (around 250,000), blood analyzers (around 250.000) regulations and documents from the FDA (around 150,000), audiology devices (around 150,000), lab devices, defibrillators, monitors, devices for MR, and other kinds of medical devices (around 100,000). I have translated for the leading medical/pharmaceutical companies around the world, and have a large experience with very demanding projects.

As far as technical texts are concerned, I translate mainly texts for the automotive industry (around 1,200,000 words) for the leading manufacturers. I have also translated machinery, motors and the like (around 350,000 words), chainsaws, brushcutters and clearing saws, electric blower units, hedge trimmers and other forestry and gardner power tools (around 150,000 words), texts about railways, tramcars and tramlines (around 150,000), texts of wind energy, wind mills and wind plants (around 60,000) and other technical texts. More than 2,500,000 technical words!!

I aim to satisfy my client, because my job consists in solving his/her problems. As a professional, I am highly flexible, and adapt myself to my clients’ needs and requirements, trying to handle each client and translation in a customized manner. After finishing the text, I follow a strict revision procedure, in order to guarantee the quality of the result. This revision can be made by a third party. In case I’m not familiar enough with the contents of the text, I prefer to be honest with my client and refer him/her to another specialist in the specific subject, since we both aim to obtain the best result, and that can only be achieved if my client trusts me as a professional. Of course, I always keep the confidentiality of the documents and materials supplied, as I usually handle very sensible information. Besides, I have never missed a deadline in all these years.
