The Regression of Women’s Rights is not limited to Afghanistan
The Afghanistan law that protects perpetrators of domestic violence. The new Sharia Law of Brunei that allows stoning. The frequent occurrences of sexual abuse in the countries that set the stage for “Arab Spring”. And, the proposed virginity examinations of Indonesia. These are just a few examples showing that women’s rights, which had been growing in recent years, are going backwards again. Through revolutions and political change, similar situations are happening even in countries that have been evaluated by Western countries.
As soon as Afghanistan’s controversial new law relating to domestic violence reached his desk, President Hamid Karzai demanded it be returned to parliament and changes made. In Afghanistan with the progression of the withdrawal of Western troops, opponents are concerned that women’s rights violations are becoming more serious, and that if the new law is established it will become nearly impossible to accuse perpetrators of domestic violence.
Afghanistan’s chief investigator for “Human Rights Watch” (an organisation that investigates human rights issues around the world), Heather Barr, says “The new law has two major components, although the government has shown a solution to only one of them.”
The first component is that relatives of victims of violence are able to voluntarily testify. The second component is that only spouses can testify, not other relatives. Even if these are changed, Barr says “The new law will be a major loss for female victims who are seeking help in court”.

An overview of the New Zealand health system
In New Zealand, the first port of call for medical treatment is usually your GP (General Practitioner). If the GP decides it is appropriate, he or she may refer you to a specialist or to the hospital.
While there are fees for GPs, A & M (Accident and Medical) clinics and specialists, there is no fee for treatment at a public hospital for New Zealand Citizens, Residents or Work Visa holders of two consecutive years. Private medical insurance holders, or people who wish to pay for their own treatment, can also use a private hospital.
In New Zealand it is recommended to register with a GP. A GP helps to maintain your health. He or she can refer you to another treatment service, such as gynaecological examinations or immunisations etc, and help to manage health conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. A GP also offers advice for leading a healthy lifestyle, such as quitting smoking.
Your GP will see to it that you can get necessary examinations (e.g. X-rays, blood tests, echoes). If such treatment is needed he or she will refer you to a specialist to receive the examinations and adequate treatment for your health condition.

大久野島
竹原市の忠海港から船で約15分。周囲約4kmのこの小島は、かつて毒ガス工場があったことから「地図から消された島」でした。現在は国立公園に指定され、約700羽もの野生のウサギが棲息することで知られており、国内外を問わず多くの観光客が癒しを求めて訪れています。島内には、宿泊をはじめ、温泉、ご当地グルメなどが満喫できる休暇村大久野島やキャンプ場、毒ガス資料館、大久野島ビジターセンターといった施設があり、サイクリングやテニス、釣り、夏には海水浴場や屋外プールもオープンします。

Okunoshima [“Rabbit Island”]
Okunoshima is about 15 minutes by ferry from Tadanoumi Port in Takehara City [Hiroshima Prefecture]. This small 4km-around island was at one time “the island erased from the map”, due to its poison gas factory. In present times it has been designated a National Park and as it is known for being inhabited by about 700 wild rabbits, many tourists from both Japan and overseas visit seeking healing. On the island, with accommodation including a camping ground and Holiday Village Okunoshima - where you can enjoy hot springs, local gourmet food and more -, there is the poison gas museum and Okunoshima Visitor Centre facilities, as well as cycling, tennis and fishing, and in the summer the beach and outdoor pool are open.

Approximately 45 minutes by car from Hiroshima Airport.
Approx. 15 minutes by ferry from Tadanoumi Port, approx. 40 minutes by car from the Kochi Interchange of the Sanyo Expressway then approx. 15 minutes by ferry from Tadanoumi Port.

日本国憲法（にほんこくけんぽう、にっぽんこくけんぽう）は、現在の日本の国家形態および統治の組織・作用を規定する憲法[1]。民定憲法として1946年（昭和21年）11月3日に公布され、1947年（昭和22年）5月3日に施行された[1]。日本国憲法第10章により、同憲法は日本の法体系における最高法規に位置付けられる。
昭和憲法（しょうわけんぽう）、あるいは単に現行憲法（げんこうけんぽう）とも呼ばれる。
概要
日本国憲法は、存在の肯定を契約に求めたジャン＝ジャック・ルソーの『社会契約論』を基礎にしている。また、ブルジョア憲法（資本主義憲法）の一種[2][3]である。他の多くの国の憲法と同じように、硬性憲法であり[4]、人権規定と統治規定を含む。また象徴天皇制や間接民主制、権力分立制、地方自治制度、国務大臣の文民規定が盛り込まれ、加えて戦力放棄、刑事手続（犯罪捜査・裁判の手続）についての詳細な規定等もなされている。
1945年（昭和20年）に、ポツダム宣言を受諾して連合国に対し降伏した日本政府は、そこに要求された「日本軍の無条件降伏」「日本の民主主義的傾向の復活強化」「基本的人権の尊重」「平和政治」「国民の自由意思による政治形態の決定」などにより、事実上憲法改正の法的義務を負うことになった。

The Constitution of Japan
The Constitution of Japan is one that defines the current national structure of Japan and the organisation and action of governance. It was announced on 3 November 1946 as a civil constitutional law and took effect on 3 May 1947. Chapter 10 of the Constitution of Japan places it as the highest law in the Japanese legal system. It is also called the Showa Constitution, or simply the Current Constitution.
Overview
The Constitution of Japan is based on the “Social Contract Theory” of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, which sought a contract for affirmation of existence. It is also a type of bourgeois constitution (capitalist constitution). Just like the constitutions of many other countries, it is a rigid constitution which includes provisions for human rights and governance. Also included are the symbolic emperor system, the indirect democratic system, the separation of power system, the local autonomy system, minister of state provisions, and in addition there are detailed provisions concerning renunciation of war potential and criminal proceedings (criminal investigation and trial procedures).
In 1945 the Japanese government, accepting the Potsdam Declaration and surrendering to the Allied Powers, became legally obliged to amend the constitution to include “the unconditional surrender of the Japanese army”, “the reinstatement of the democratic tendency of Japan”, “respect for basic human rights”, “peace politics”, “the free will of citizens to determine the form of government” etc.

国保で受けられる給付
国保に加入している方が病気やケガで病院にかかったり、出産や死亡があった場合には、治療等（療養の給付等）や現金の給付（療養費の支給）が受けられます。
これを「保険給付」といいます。
①病院にかかるとき（療養の給付）
病気やケガで病院等にかかるとき、窓口で保険証（国民健康保険被保険者証）を提示することにより、医療費の一部を負担する（一部負担金）だけで診療を受けることができます。
一部負担金以外の医療費は、後で国保より医療機関等に支払われます。
なお、病院等の窓口で支払っていただく一部負担金の割合（自己負担割合）は、年齢や所得によって異なります。

Benefits you can receive through National Health Insurance (Kokuho)
Those who join the National Health Insurance scheme can receive medical treatment (benefits of medical treatment etc) and cash benefits (payment of medical expenses) when they have hospital consultations due to illness or injury, childbirth or death. These are called “insurance benefits”.
1. Hospital consultations (benefits of medical treatment)
When you go to a hospital due to illness or injury and present your insurance card (“National Health Insurance Policy Holder Card”) at the reception desk, you can pay just part of your treatment fee (part-payment).
The outstanding amount of the treatment fee will later be paid to the medical institution by National Health Insurance.
Furthermore, the percentage of the part-payment that you will pay at the hospital’s reception counter (self-payment percentage) differs according to your age and income.
