Bio

Background

While launching my translation career, I have been working for 6 years in the not-for-profit sector in the areas of Canadian immigration and refugee law, newcomer settlement, and community development. While I have lived in majority English-speaking parts of Canada, I work in an entirely French environment as part of a regional francophone organization. In this capacity, I am fluent in both Quebecois and Standard (France) French language and idioms.

I also have 4 years' experience teaching English as a Foreign Language to Russian students and translating books, web content and other documents in the sectors of education, business/entrepreneurship, and psychology.

I love assisting my clients with proofreading, editing, and adapting their texts to a Canadian context. I will accompany you every step of the way and make sure your text is polished and word-perfect.

My style

I excel in writing fluid, accurate, and idiomatic English translations appropriate for academic, business, or creative (literary) contexts. I love talking about language, and am eager to discuss any English-language questions or comments my clients may have.

Areas of Specialization

My areas of specialization include the social sciences and arts (history, political science, literature), business and advertising content, and creative projects. I regularly adapt content for medical surveys and trials for Canadian English audiences.

Working together

I work collaboratively with my clients and will take the time to learn what your goals are for your project and discuss my translations with you. Your questions are always welcome and your feedback important to me. If you have any questions, please contact me.
