1.1 Druckluftanschluss
Wert Beschreibung
0 MMS System AUS (Bearbeitungspause)
1 MMS System AUS (Bearbeitungspause, Vorbereitung Hochdruck)
2 Ausblasen mit reiner Luft
3 Druck-stufe 1
4 Schmierstoffmenge 60%
5 Schmierstoffmenge 100%
6 Druck-stufe 2

1.1 Piping
The MMS system to operate must be connected to the compressed air system supplies either from the machine tool or directly from the existing compressed air system with compressed air. For a supply directly from the compressed air network, make sure that all legal guidelines regarding compressed air power to the machine are observed.
The primary pressure of the compressed air supply must be maximum 12 bar for safety reasons! The minimum supply pressure should be 5 bar and not fall below. Extreme demanding operations and long hose guides may possibly require higher pressures than 6 bar.
The compressed air connection must be of sufficient size that, for a decrease in air flow rate of 1,500 standard liters per minute, the supply pressure of the MMS system of 6 bar does not fall below. In case more than 2 tools must be supplied at the same time, this value must be increased accordingly. In principle an air-pressure of class 5 to use ISO 8573-1.
1.2 Menu with language and memory errors
Pressing the refill button for more than 3 seconds, the display window of the control box defaults to a menu control. There can a language be chosen, a the last 10 errors that occurred can be seen, indicating for each of incident how much time has elapsed from the fault occurrence until now.
The menu system is described by the display of the control box.
Part 5
2 Operation & parameter input
In principle, for the operation of the MMS system related documentation by the manufacturer of the machine tool should be carefully noted.
In general, the machine tool equipment should be switched off. For this a corresponding M command will show. The parameterization of the MMS system will usually also take place using the machine control.
The type of control within the machine tool will be found in the documentation of the machine tool manufacturer. The MMS system offers 15 various settings which work by various combinations of the different types of aerosols , and define the properties of aerosols.
2.1 Settings
The MMS system has 15 function levels, which are selected from the machine control of the machine tool 15 function levels differ in your individual parameters and find the application in the following table.
Value Description
0 MMS system OFF (pause processing)
1 MMS system OFF (pause processing , preparation high pressure)
2 Blowing with clean air
3 Pressure Level 1
P2 = High pressure Amount of lubricant 20 % The parameter settings of this group (parameters 3-5 ) should be applied when the MMS system has the additional high-pressure supply (eg 10 bar) and should this option be for the current tool available in the last tool before working with a parameter 6-15 , it is recommended from there with the value " 1".
4 Amount of lubricant 60 %
5 Amount of lubricant 100 %
6 Druck-stufe 2
