La catena americana dei fast food è infatti uno dei maggiori acquirenti di questi prodotti di qualità, protetti e riconosciuti dall'Unione europa, con 130 tonnellate di cibi acquistati nel 2018, usati per farcire oltre 10 milioni di panini venduti nei 570 ristoranti della presenti nella Penisola.
Fontina Dop, Speck Alto Adige IGP e Cipolla Rossa di Tropea Calabria IGP sono alcuni dei prodotti utilizzati.

Questi ultimi cresciuti del 23% in valore nei primi 8 mesi del 2018, secondo i dati elaborati da Federalimentare.
L'export di birra, che sempre più comprende anche i prodotti “artigianali” è salito invece dell'11% mentre il vino è cresciuto del 4,6 per cento.

The American fast food chain is a major buyer of these top quality products, which are protected and recognized by the EU: a total of 130 tonnes of food purchased in 2018 were used to fill more than 10 million hamburgers, sold in 570 restaurants across the country. PDO Fontina, PGI Speck Alto Adige and the PGI red onion of Tropea Calabria are some of such products.

Year after year, Italy's exports of alcohol get better and better, and it is not just wine, which is still the most exported product; there is beer, liqueurs and spirits too. The latter in particular, according to data compiled by Federalimentare, grew by 23% in value in the first 8 months of 2018. Exports of beer, including more craft products than ever, went up by 11%, while wine grew by 4.6%.
