Ministry of Culture from Romania-Certified translator in technical and financial fields

Even though I am an engineer by trade, I am also a freelance translator for language pair EN-RO;RO-EN since 2015, translating successfully more then 3000 pages.

I use Trados, Memoq, Memsource (Phrase) as CAT tools, and so far I had the opportunity to translate documents from different fields, such as:

-Technical (Technical Manuals, but not restricted to, from: General Engineering/ Civil Engineering/ Mechanical/ IT/ Hardware/ Software/ Agricultural/ Electronics/ Telecommunications/Machinery/ Automotive/ Electrical/etc.);

-Financial (Contracts/ Audits/ Bidding Offers/ Financial Reports/ Human Resource Manuals);

-Medical (Medical Journals/ Medical descriptions/ Medical instrument);

-Legal (Court Orders, Testimony, Criminal Records, Diplomas, GDPR compliance);

-General (General documents, Greeting letters).

Some of the projects I have worked on:

  • Translation of numerous user manuals for: air conditioning equipment, batteries, medical equipment, forklift machinery, transformer equipment, stand up paddle (SUP), monitors, watch, headphones, and many more.
  • Translation of a 150K words project of a bidding offer for purchase of trams. It included technical, legal and financial information.
  • Translation of a 50K words project of a bidding offer for road construction.
  • Proofreading for a single project, over 175K words, with EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office).
  • Translation of a 200K words project for a Windmill corporation. It included safety regulation, HR and also technical procedures.
  • 2017-2022 Translation and proofreading with weekly tasks on a large project related to GDPR compliance for an electronic multinational company.
