I am a native English speaker from the United States. I offer Portuguese-English and Spanish-English translation, transcription and consecutive interpretation services as well as English-English editing. I am currently a medical interpreter for Spanish and Portuguese in hospitals in the Greater Cincinnati area, USA.

I have much experience with informal translation and transcription. I have translated many Portuguese - English documents for non-profit organizations, including organization by-laws and monthly newsletters. I am also currently working on a 1.5 hour Spanish-English transcription and translation of audio recording interviews for a Lima, Peru-based non-profit organization.

I studied Philosophy and International Development at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, USA. I wrote an extensive number of academic papers in English, Portuguese and Spanish. I also edited English-English a large number of articles and papers for peers. These papers included the social sciences, humanities, linguistics, chemistry and biology. I also recently collaborated on the Portuguese-English translation of a linguistics article intended for submission to an academic journal.

I have a wide variety of interests and I am always interested in learning more about new subjects as well as expanding the knowledge I already have in certain areas. I am very easy-going, flexible, and always punctual with deadlines. I look forward to working on a variety of projects within the ProZ community!
