Bio
Hallo everyone!

My interest in languages started very early. I went to a school where I learned Russian starting at the age of 10. Soon after my brother started learning English in school I was eager to learn it too, I was fascinated by it. So I went on to study English. I just loved it. When I was 17 I spent 1 year abroad as an exchange student in Indonesia. Learning Indonesian came very easy to me and I was able to better my English as well. After my experience abroad I worked voluntarily with exchange students from around the world for a few years. Strangely I never came up with the idea of working with languages, though it seemed to be obvious.

I decided to study Economics with specialization in International Economics, Banking and Finance. I found it interesting but I never felt the same passion as with languages. At the time I was traveling to Brazil regularly and had started to learn Portuguese. After I graduated I moved to Brazil and worked in different fields. But I was never really satisfied with my jobs. Eventually I was asked to do some translations of letters that children wrote to their sponsors and I agreed. That’s how I entered the translation business.

First it seemed like a hobby. I worked a few times as a consecutive interpreter and did some translation jobs here and there. Then I started looking for paid jobs on the Internet. It took a while but eventually I found a few agencies who signed me up and I started translating more and more. Last year I took the exam of Cambridge English CAE and I passed at grade A (C2).
I’m constantly learning and improving my skills. Being a freelance translator I finally do what I love – working with languages. I hope I can continue doing that.
