Translation - English After two months of strong recovery, the month of March witnessed signs of market moderation and accommodation. After accumulating gains of around 16% for the year up to February, IBOVESPA recorded a fall of 2% for the month. In the local exchange, the flow of foreign investors observed an outflow of funds totaling R$ 1.3 billion for the month, yet still accumulated a net inflow of around R$ 5 billion for 2012.
In the international scenario, the US economy continued on a path of gradual recovery which was reflected by the positive performance of its stock markets, with the S&P-500 standing out from the remaining global markets with a recorded gain of 3.13% for the month. In Europe, movement was varied with the German market recording gains of 1.3% for the DAX, whilst the UK and France fell -1.76% and -0.83% respectively. The main negative news was related to the situation in Spain and fears of problems with its financial institutions. Attention has also been focused on the French elections, which are raising uncertainties surrounding France’s position if Sarkozy is not re-elected (or even if he is re-elected). In our view, news such as this is nothing new however it could cause fluctuations in the markets as long as the situation in Europe continues without reaching a definitive solution.

Source text - Portuguese 3.2. Amostragem
Translation - English 3.2. Sampling
A systematic sample was used at the XXXX farms through the establishment of points with regular intervals, approximately 150 m along the lines which were created using the ArcMap software in the central area of each of the main polygons of each strata, as shown in the illustration on the map in annex IX. The geographic coordinates (annex X) of these points served as reference points for demarcation in the field of the first vertex in each sample plot. Just as in XXXX, rectangular plots were used measuring 100 m X 10 m. The longest side of each plot was always directed towards the following point. Considering that the sampling effort was linked to the output from the fieldwork and verification of sampling error levels verified, the sampling was started by intertwining the points; in other words, the plot vertices initially had distance intervals of 300 m. if there were a need to increase the number of plots, the sampling would continue by including the points initially discarded by the intertwining, so the distance intervals between the plot vertices would be reduced to 150 m. The plot data collection procedures were identical to those used in XXXX (as per the protocol in annex V), as well as the definition of the number of plots in relation to the 10% sampling error target. The sampling included 25 plots and the sampling error achieved was 9%. The breakdown of the number of sampling plots used for each stratum, along with their respective sampling errors is contained in table 6.
