Dear colleagues, We have a question with regard to Wordfast installation. Our goal is to keep both our TRADOS and Wordfast toolbars active in Word XP. Here is what is happening: During Wordfast installation (i.e. the basic installation that takes place in the Word environment), our TRADOS buttons disappear and are replaced by Wordfast buttons. On the last step where we proceed to shutdown and re-open Word, the Wordfast buttons are now gone, and the TRADOS buttons are back as if Wordfast had never been installed. We've fooled around with the "Pandora's Box" instructions in the user manual, but this has not worked for us. It's probably something painfully simple that we are overlooking, but we're not sure. Again, the goal being to install Wordfast and end up with the TRADOS and Wordfast toolbars permanently "side by side" in Word... Can anyone give us a simple, step-by-step procedure to accomplish this, based upon their own experience? Many thanks in advance!!! ... but the only system I know is to click on View, then on Toolbars and I get a list of available toolbars - I click on the ones I want always visible and that's it! Even simpler, I point the mouse anywhere on the toolbar areas, right click and get the same list of available toolbars. This is a simple system - hope it is effective for you, too! Some old-time templates disturbe Wordfast. Wordfast switch off all other templates. Templates of Trados are well written and you can keep them with command KeepTemplate=. You can keep ALL or named: KeepTemplate=TRADOS5, KeepTemplate=MTerm-EN, KeepTemplate=WinAligh5 etc. Details are in manuals. Remember that you can use toolbar buttons only. Shortcuts in Trados and WF are mixed up in an unpredictable manner. 3) Use so-called Sputnik setup in Wordfast. This is an experimental fearure, though. Regards, Arkady Vysotsky ▲ Collapse | |
