Translate a TTX file outside Trados May 1, 2011

I was wondering if it is possible to translate a TTX file without Trados, ie if Dejavu or any other CAT tool that allow TTX files handling also allow to extract from them the translated text in the original source format, or, as it is said in step 6 of the article, it only can be cleaned with Save Target As option of Trados tool .

Hi again,
does anyone know if it is possible to obtain from a TTX Trados file translated with another CAT tool (eg DeJaVuX) the translated file in the original format of the source (eg doc) with the other CAT tool by which it was translated ?
Or can the translated file only be obtained in TTX format in the CAT tool other than Trados and be 'restored' to the original source format only with Trados ?
