Dear all,

I just wish to warn you, especially outsourcers and translation agencies, that a "linguist" who regularly introduces herself as Suzana Milan or Suzan Milan, is a scammer. She is listed as such on http://www.translator-scammers.com (http://www.translator-scammers.com/pdf/TSD_TRANSLATOR_SCAMMERS_ADDRESSES.pdf) and may also use the name "Fiorina Marino".

From what I understand, she stole my CV from my Proz profile, provides a fake address in France but gives my own telephone number (a UK number!) to outsourcers. As a result, I have received phone calls from a few outsourcers who had been in contact with this scammer by email and could not get in touch with her again. I am not sure how she (or he?) profits from this scam, but do not enter in any professional agreement with Suzana Milan, as she is not a genuine translator.
Thank you for your attention!

Thank you Oct 11, 2017

for the warning, Helen.

You're right, it's hard to determine what s/he would get out of this. However, this just might bring you some new (genuine) customers.
