I won some contests and I wanted to show my mother the page with all the entries on it, but it says you have to be logged in to see that page.

I could direct her to my portfolio, but it's kind of hard to get at, and it doesn't show all the entries plus the number of points.

(Of course, adding notes would have to be disabled for people who aren't logged in.)

Dear Scott,

Congratulations!

Could the contest entries be made visible for people who are NOT logged in?

Yes, sure. I don't see a reason not to do it.

I'll let you know as soon as this possibility is enabled.

... and I don´t think conditions should be changed afterwards. It could be a new condition for the next round but, like your other suggestion, I don´t see the point of making less-fortunate translations available to people who are not even non-contributing members of ProZ.

Before enabling this option, Romina, I suggest this should at least be discussed a bit.

It might tick off the other contestants in your language pair.

Maybe a couple of screenshots will do the job.

Congratulations, BTW!

I'm sure you trust you mum Jul 4, 2008

So why don't you just let her borrow your login for a short while?

I did think of doing that - but then I thought it could cause problems.

I now live in Brazil and she lives in Germany, and I don't think it would look good if the administrators saw multiple logins on the same day to my account from Germany and Brazil.

Anyways, I was just using my Mum as an example. The bigger issue is: who is the audience for proz.com contest results? Are they just something amongst us translators - or should potential clients (who might not have a login) also be able to look at the contest results?
