Hello!

Has anyone heard of or taken a course at The Localization Institute? If so, is it accredited?

I cannot find any information about them being accredited, and hence I don't trust their certification programs.

Any thoughts if they are legit?

Thanks!

I don't know. But I do know that their web site has existed since at least 2000, and some of the trainers mentioned on their earlier web site are also mentioned on their latest web site.

Some of the courses look a little iffy. For example, their "master class" for game localization costs $500 and is basically a set of four webinars, after which you get a certificate of completion. Which course were you thinking of doing with them?

You say "accredited", but accredited by whom? What do you mean by "accredited"?
