I am currently awaiting results for my DPSI (Law) qualification in French. German is my mother tongue and I have been asked to interpret in court for proceedings with German and English on a subject matter that I am well versed in.
I feel confident enough to do this, but are will my certification in French also mean I am certified for German? (My gut feeling tells me no, but I would not be surprised, if the agency would allow me to perform thi... See more

(My gut feeling tells me no, but I would not be surprised, if the agency would allow me to perform this anyway). Can I get into trouble if I go ahead without being specifically qualified? Could I endanger the argument of the party I would be working for?
