Hi! I plan to attend the MA in Translation at Portsmouth University by DL next year. Is it true that attendance is required even for the MA by DL? Thank you!

Hi Bailing - I have just finished the PG Cert programme in Translation Studies at Portsmouth, which consists of four units from the MA programme. It was a DL course and there was no obligation to attend - I am fairly sure this is also the same for the full MA programme.

Thanks to both of you! I am really new to this type of master , so...a further question: it is my understanding that students will specialize in one among the languages on offer. Is it possible to focus on two languages? For example, Italian (my native language) and Chinese (my working language): the combination will be Italian - English and Chinese - English. Is that correct? Thank you. Ling

There is no need to go there at all. I am doing that course at the moment. I am doing the last unit of the program before Dissertation. The online platform is very well conceived so you do not have to attend any class. Good luck!
