Hello everyone. I am English-Japanese medical translator living in UK. I've lived here nearly 6 years and working as a freelance translator successfully nearly 3 years. Recently I'm thinking about taking part-time MS course hopefully in Imperial College, but fees are becoming headache. Hello everyone. I am English-Japanese medical translator living in UK. I've lived here nearly 6 years and working as a freelance translator successfully nearly 3 years. Recently I'm thinking about taking part-time MS course hopefully in Imperial College, but fees are becoming headache. I could ask the university department, but I first want to ask here whether anyone experienced the same college as non-EU students. As you know, the fees are almost 3 times more expensive for non-EU students. But my first question is, if you have permanent visa (not a citizenship) and lived in the country more than 5 years, is there any possibilities that I can be treated as UK student?
Any comment and advice will be appreciated. Thank you. ▲ Collapse

Thank you Robin. I did check the college's website and read through the links, but somehow missed the link you showed me. This is the information and I wanted to get, so thank you so much. The reason I posted here is to gather comments from non EU translators regarding this college.

OK. Do remember that Imperial is one of the world's leading universities (by all rankings). Although my own specialisation is financial translation, and I teach part of a course at another London university, my understanding is that Imperial's postgrad translation degree is one of the best sci-tech/med translation courses available, anywhere.
