Why there is not enough cooperation among freelancing conference interpreters

There is much less cooperation among freelancing conference interpreters compared with other professionals like accountants and lawyer. This has resulted in the devaluation of interpreters in China. The rate is decreasing. The quality is mixed. Sometimes interpreters are manipulated by translation agencies.

It's a battlefield. I practically stopped conference interpreting, as dirty play is the rule there. Your "colleagues" will cut your throat!
