虽然我没机会和姚先生交谈过，他去世前后我才参与本论坛的讨论，但是觉得他留给我们的遗产是： “在追寻翻译高专业水平之余，也要保持身体健康”。

对于经常坐著翻译的我们，是一个最好的遗训。

姚先生精於譯道，品德俱高，積勞而逝，令人十分惋惜。身為同業，深當引以為戒，日後務必作息有時，勤於鍛煉，絕不可作拼命三郎。

这两天翻阅论坛以往的帖子和讨论，姚先生每次贴出的试译都能将我的翻译审美提高不少，看他的译文真是无比的享受。功力这般深厚，为人确如此温厚。他的离去是中文翻译界巨大的损失。痛心！
