I know one is supposed to create their own database/TM based on previous work and so. But I am just starting over and I want to know if there are sites where I can find bilingual glossaries/TM (free or paid).

The only TM vendor that I currently know of, is TTMEM.com . There have been other players in the past, but these ventures typically don't last. TTMEM refers to glossaries as "TMs" as well. Prices range from EUR 10 to about EUR 50 per TM. Remember, it makes no sense to buy a TM before you have a job that you are certain the TM will be an asset for.

For glossaries, try https://www.proz.com/glosspost/ .

Hi, there,

IATE gloss (very useful at least for me)

Also, the company that sold me the latest Trados version has free TMs and glossaries resources for their customers, so I've used them as well. You may want to check it at your provider's site.

There is also App Store for Trados where you can check if there are any free resources. For example, there is some Microsoft Termbase : https://appstore.sdl.com/language/app/microsoft-euro-languages-terminology-collection/105/

Cheers,
K.
