Does CafeTran support .bpm format?

Hello,
I received from a translation company a Trados Autosuggest (.bpm file). Can I upload it in CafeTran and use it?

I'm not sure about the file format (database, plain text?). You could send it to [email protected] and ask Igor to have a look at it.

But anyway, CafeTran doesn't need auxiliary files like these, sinds it calculates the autocomplete suggestions on the fly, from a lot more resources than only the TM, termbase etc.

Just downloaded an example. It's:

The language pair is DE>IT, it is a patent.

I sent a request to Igor, hopefully I will get a feedaback in the next few hours.

I suppose that .dbm stands for "DataBase Management", but honestly have no clue.

Hi Serena,

I have never heard of such a format before. As Hans has already pointed out, it looks like a typing aid file rather than a translation memory. CafeTran has its own auto-suggesting function which you can use while translating your project.
