Are there any native speakers of English present who tested the combination of CafeTran for Mac and Dictation Commands or even automation?
I don't know about Café Tran but the inbuilt dictation software that comes as part of the MacOS is very good. I use it all the time. It does make mistakes though, and you have to speak clearly. One mistake it makes is "hi" instead of "high". It also seem to think that I speak with the accent of a south-eastern English person who did not go to a good university.

Yes, Tom, my first impression is indeed rather good. Not only is it quite easy to add new commands, like 'Next segment' (to emulate Ctrl+Alt+Down). It is also possible to open menus, submenus etc.
It is nothing that I will be using for my technical translations, but I can imagine that this Dictation could be useful for other text types.
