Hi, Are there any limitations in the free version? If yes, what are they? Thank you in advance for your replies.

Çağdaş Karataş wrote: Are there any limitations in the free version? If yes, what are they? Hi Cagdas, When you install CafeTran, it will run in trial mode until you buy a license (only 80 Euro). I don't remember but I think there is a 30 days and/or 30 segment limitation. Selcuk

Probably a good idea to make FAQs stickies | Dec 27, 2011 |
Hans Lenting wrote: Can we create a Wiki here or else? Or Sticking postings? It's probably a good idea to make frequently asked questions stickies here, if/when such questions are being asked. The limitations in the trial version may be a good candidate for a sticky, as it doesn't seem to be documented upfront anywhere. I did see the 30-segment limitation mentioned by Selçuk, but I'm not sure if there's also a 30-day limitation. I personally think the 30-segment limitation would be sufficient. Many people need more than 30 days in order to make their mind about a software.

Hello Maria, The counts are available in the Project | Statistics menu. You can also analyze the project segments against your working memories. This will be seen in the Project | Statistics menu after pretranslation or translation of project segments. Cheers, Igor

I would just like to pay my tribute to the author of this software. It just has everything I need. Even the AUTOCOMPLETE function which initially I thought was missing! Mr Kmitowski, that's a really good piece of software! It may need some further development, but otherwise it's great!

Yep, CafeTran isn't very well-known, but in terms of features, stability and flexibility it is really unbeatable. Just my 2 cents ... Hans

I assume that you have Java installed on your system. Sometimes .jar files are bound to another software. In that case right-click the CafeTran-install.jar file and complete the following steps: Click "Open With" to choose the program that you want (Java Runtime Environment) Click "Choose Program" to choose the program that you want (Java Runtime Environment) Click to select the "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" check box if it ...
