The Germanic tribes did not migrate to Britain in 1066. By 1066 the Anglo-Saxons had been in Britain for some 500 years already.

It's linguistic (and historical) nonsense.
The English Language ORIGINATED in 1066?
Anglo-Norman French? Vikings? Foreigners? "exposed THE LANGUAGE" what language? What???
I can say this with confidence: Evan Munch should NOT be teaching English. Not if this statement reflects his repertoire of linguistic "knowledge".
Side note: the Normans (who invaded in 1066) could theoretically be considered "Germanic" since they were themselves the descendants of "Norsemen" or "Vikings".
