Overview
I am an extremely hard-working and dedicated Brit who moved to Finland in 1992. As a linguist, I translate a wide variety of subject areas from Finnish to English. I am a very hard working and diligent translator who, during 24 years of translation experience, has never missed an agreed deadline. My special areas of expertise include tourism, engineering, business, legal, mining, manufacturing, and many more. I take great pride in producing quality, so always research the subject matter thoroughly.
I have organised language courses for companies since 1992. The largest companies, public offices, administration and authorities of our region have all ordered my services. I currently teach Business English to a number of private and public companies and government authorities. The courses I organise focus on fun by learning – this means that the courses are constructed with exercises that are informative and fun, which I believe enhances the learning experience.
I have interpreted (simultaneous and consecutive between Finnish and English) at a number of occasions from sales negotiations to international seminars at the EU, national and regional levels for the European Commission, Finland’s Parliament, various ministries, courts, numerous authorities and local businesses, etc.
