ABOUT
I work exclusively for the Polish market, translating and proofreading from Polish into English or creating English-language copy for Polish businesses. I specialise in external communications, helping my clients build their image, tone of voice, and brand positioning within a defined target audience with authentically produced marketing and press materials.
LANGUAGES
I am a native English speaker born, raised, and currently based in the UK. Polish has been my second language for the past 13 years, which began with 6 years of language-focused higher education, 3 of which were spent in Poland. I have used Polish professionally for 9 years, including in international business roles for UK companies with a turnover of up to £100m, and now on a more direct basis for Polish companies looking to perfect their external communications in English-speaking markets. I achieved C2 proficiency in Polish in 2015, certified by Jagiellonian University, and I speak it daily with friends and, through marriage, family.
WORK EXPERIENCE
I have five years' work experience as an international account manager in the FMCG sector working for UK-based wholesalers and manufacturers in the food and drink industry. My roles involved creating externally facing materials, which is where I learnt to art of effective copywriting. I also have experience working in the public sector for higher education institutions and research centres in the field of food engineering.

-MA UNESCO Chair for Translation Studies and Intercultural Communication, Jagiellonian University.
-BA Modern Languages: French, Polish, Spanish, The University of Sheffield. Graduated with a First-Class BA (Hons) degree with distinctions in spoken French and Polish.
