Dear Sir/Madame

I was born in Korea and grew up there as a little girl until my father took a job as an exchanged professor at University of Minnesota and our family decided to relocate. Being a curious and adventurous little soul, I was extremely excited about our family's prospect of moving to the other side of the world.
Once there, it didn’t take me long to fall in love with my new surroundings, and memories of all the beautiful lakes I grew up around in Minnesota are still ingrained in my mind to this day. Needless to say, I ended up staying in the U.S. for almost 20 years after, becoming fully bilingual in Korean and English in the process.

I have always had love for languages. After graduating from university, I came back to Korea and worked at a non-profit organization as an overseas correspondent and translated a short book pro bono.
Later, I worked at a news broadcasting department where I held a contributing editor role and interviewed and translated interview scripts for the network’s flagship current events program.
I also spent 3 years teaching English to elementary, middle and high school students, an experience that allowed me to refine my understanding of language structure even further.

Since I became a professional translator, I’ve worked with a diverse group of clientele consisting of private individuals, business professionals, companies, public and private institutions across multiple disciplines.
My bi-cultural background and experience having worked and lived in both countries and in various industries give me a unique advantage in grasping subtle nuance, vernacular speech and industry jargon.
Combined with my commitment to precision and excellence through research, I deliver professional and quality translation that bring client satisfaction.

Thank you for your interest in my work and I look forward to collaborating with some of you soon.
