I have worked as a freelance translator since 2008, translating assignments such as tender documents for a centralised traffic control system for a major railway project, including maintenance agreements, specifications, company and government regulations, certificates, declarations, tax documents and symbol catalogue. Other assignments have included government white papers, accident investigation reports, operator handbooks, test reports and certificates of conformity for a multi-user electronic casino gaming system, non-disclosure agreements, employment regulations, codes of conduct, CVs and references, survey questionnaires, support agreements, tender documentation, promotional material, and academic papers on subjects such as bioenergy, agricultural inheritance law, societal risk, education, agricultural recruitment, police interviews, political party manifesto information, insurance policy documents, requests for proposal, restaurant menus, wedding speeches, websites, bank statements, annual reports, notes to accounts, pension capital certificate statements and information, payroll runs, medical correspondence and case summaries, strategic plan and action plan for major university. 

 I qualified with the Institute of Linguists Diploma in Translation (DipTrans IoLET) in 2009. 

 I also have 12 years of secretarial experience in international offices, which has given me excellent computer skills, particularly with regard to presentation, styles and formatting, hyperlinks and cross-refererences, as well as a meticulous attention to detail, the ability to keep a cool head and work under intense pressure to tight deadlines, and a familiarity with terminologies in additional fields such as oil and gas, structural engineering, chemicals, ergonomics, project management and banking.
