(2) Glossary-building KudoZ in Tourism and Travel

As reported last month, following the ProZ.com hotel and tourism industry networking event for translators, a new team was created by specialists in that area, using the ProZ.com team feature. In just a short time, over one hundred specialists joined the team.
A project has been launched in cooperation with this team to create a multi-language glossary for Tourism and Travel. Members of this team create glossary terms in English which will be translated into several target languages within the framework of Glossary-building KudoZ (GBK).
This experience could be used as the basis for similar projects to create multi-language glossaries in other fields of expertise.

(6) Upcoming networking opportunities for language professionals

The first ProZ.com networking marathon for translation professionals is set for Friday, October 4th. You can participate online and in person. Check for powwows in your area that day; if there isn't one and you are a ProZ.com member, you can propose one. The goal is to create the largest ever networking day for language professionals.
