Russian term or phrase: To est' eti dve nedeli korezhit. Nu eto bylo by tak sebia ne liubit'.
Interview with a drug user.
He is talking about how he might be able to come off drugs.

Liudi perekumarivaiut nasukhuiu. ("cold turkey") To est' eti dve nedeli korezhit. Nu eto bylo by tak sebia ne liubit'. Menia ne elektroson beret esli dazhe".

I'm not sure about "korezhit". It appears to mean something like "they're in pain/feel terrible for 2 weeks".
Nu eto bylo by tak sebia ne liubit'. - Does this mean 'you'd have to hate
yourself to put yourself through that"?
Menia ne elektroson beret esli dazhe". - I'm confused about the grammr. Does he just mean "even electric sleep therapy wouldn't work"?

Explanation:
1. They are in pain for the two weeks they are staying off the drug.

2. Exactly - or, "if you love yourself, you won't do that to yourself".

3. The grammar sure is muddled up there. "ne beryot" should mean that elektroson would not work, but "ne" is before "elektroson". Perhaps a transciption error? It would make good sense if "ne" would come before "beryot".

The way to transpose the parts of that last sentence would be:
\"esli dazhe elektroson [delayut], menya ne beryot\",
but it\'s quite far off from what he actually said.

Another way to read it is \"from all the different treatments, what gets to me is not eletroson\". But if he is against drug-dieting for 2 weeks, what other available therapies are there for him to contrast electroson with?
