Registre des Étrangers > Register of Foreigners Explanation: I am only giving this low confidence because we can't really tell what the term means without seeing it in its context, but assuming this is a Belgian document I think it is likely that R.E. stands for registre des étrangers. In a certificat de composition de ménage it would indicate the registration of family members in the registre de la population or the registre des étrangers: "R.P. : registre de la population (Belges et étrangers admis ou autorisés à s'établir dans le Royaume - ressortissants étrangers faisant l'objet d'une mention au registre de la population).
