acceptance farce Explanation: Since it doesn't seem practicable to provide more context, I'll take a punt. I have found "pretence" for Fiktion in my ancient but often handy Cassells dictionary. Maybe the writer means that acceptance by the customer without official testing or approval amounts to a farce, as the reliability of the product is not guaranteed |

fictitious / notional acceptance (of work) Explanation: Literature. Definitons and Examples (0) Bauabnahme f acceptance inspection, final inspection, acceptance of work, building inspection (Langenscheidt Routledge. e-Fachwörterbuch Archtitektur und Bauwesen. The acceptance is deemed to have taken place six working days after the principal has started to use the works. http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&q="fictitious acceptance"&... (5) German academics usually cite this provision as an example of how German commercial law protects the legitimate expec-tations of a merchant’s business partner29 and conclude from this classification that only bona fide business partners may benefit from a fictitious acceptance30. This restriction, however, does not appear in the wording of § 362 HGB. http://www1.law.umkc.edu/library/IACL2006/ProtectingLegitima... |
