While I have been part of the community for more than five years, I just became a member last month. I cannot believe how many contacts I have made since becoming a (paying) member... I have three new clients and these are some of the best clients I have ever had.

It's definitely worth it. I've been a registered user at ProZ.com since 2002, but only started getting jobs through the site after becoming a member. The membership fee paid back after the first order.

This past year has been great. I woke up one morning deciding to go back to translating full time but I was not 100% sure that my decision was the right one. ProZ.com is an essential tool for translators and interpreters. For me, it is a virtual work and marketplace. Forums, Powwows, conferences and group buys add a very beneficial social component without which many translators would feel very lost and alone in today's market.

ProZ.com is a new higher level society and new way of thinking for translators!

What I like most at ProZ.com is the relationship between the ProZ.com staff and us, the members. I felt that, while other sites are only after the money, you really care about us and about the way you can help us. This is very important.

The KudoZ section has become a regular part of my daily working routine. I can always count on it for useful information and interesting linguistic and cultural tidbits, as well as insights into my colleagues backgrounds and thought processes.

Thanks to ProZ.com in one year my life has changed, I have now become a full time translator, receiving many jobs from Italy and mainly abroad, I have now created my full time job which I can do from any part of the world or just by staying at home, all of this has been possible thanks to ProZ.com and the friendly and warm community support network! ProZ.com has opened for me a completely new market, complementary to my existing one. I've learnt to apply new tools for marketing, business (software and systems) and translation.
